1. Agreement to these terms
By using jointethr.app (the “Site”) — including joining the waitlist or submitting a caregiver application — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.
2. What Tethr is right now
Tethr is building a service that will let families book vetted, background-checked caregivers. We have not launched that service yet. Today, the Site lets families join a waitlist and lets prospective caregivers apply. Nothing on the Site is an offer to provide care, a guarantee that care will be available in your area, or a commitment to any particular price, feature, or launch date. Details will change as we build.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to submit any form on the Site. Caregiver applicants must confirm that they are 18 or older.
4. Waitlist and applications
- Please give accurate, current information. It helps us reach you and, for caregivers, review your application fairly.
- Joining the waitlist does not guarantee you access to the service when we launch.
- Submitting a caregiver application is not a job offer and does not create an employment or contractor relationship. If we move forward, later steps — including screening and a background check — will happen at the appropriate time and with your consent.
- By submitting a form, you allow us to contact you about your submission and our launch, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Please use the Site lawfully and honestly. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or interfere with the Site; do not submit false information or someone else’s information without permission; and do not use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
6. Our content
The Site and its content — text, design, logos, and graphics — belong to Tethr or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy, reproduce, or reuse our content or branding without our permission.
7. Links and third-party services
The Site relies on third-party providers — for example, for hosting, forms, and spam prevention — and may link to other sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of their services.
8. Not medical or professional advice
Anything on the Site is general information only. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice, and Tethr is not a healthcare provider. Always rely on a qualified professional for decisions about someone’s care or health.
9. The Site is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep the Site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tethr and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Tethr grows and as we prepare to launch. We will post the updated version here with a new date. By continuing to use the Site after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
